Borrowers are tiny people.
Only 5 -6 inches tall, they make their homes within our own, hiding beneath floorboards and within wall cavities.
Named for their habbit of repurposing human items for themselves, they are skilled climbers and craftspeople.
This project creates a unique kitchen environment inspired by Mary Norton’s Borrower books. It is a showcase of my abilities in modelling, texturing and unreal implementation.

ABOUT ME
I aspire to become an environment artist for fantasy role-playing games, as these have been pivotal to my artwork and are my favourite genre. I have always loved playing video games, from The Legend of Zelda as a child, to growing up with The Elder Scrolls and The Last Guardian. In my spare time I pursue many creative hobbies: playing Dungeons and Dragons, creating textiles, whittling and turning wood, and making copper jewellery. I have always been fascinated by how things are made and am inspired by creating detail in a world that makes a game so immersive and believable that you can lose yourself within it.

BA (Hons) Computer Games Art
Biography
I have specialised in environment art at university. 3D modelling and texturing are systematic and creative, requiring constant problem solving and structural accuracy. I find these aspects relaxing and easy to focus on. I enjoy the process of creating realistic environments, from taking photographs as initial research through to creating textures.
As Art Lead for the Journeyman and Beta artcade modules I had the opportunity to explore more stylised art. This helped me to delevop an awareness of the entire pipeline process in making games. I now look forward to learning from collegues in a professional environment.
