This is my portfolio as a concept artist. I have put together a selection of the work I have produced at Teesside University as a concept artist. I mostly focus on character design, but I have experience with environment design, 3D modelling/sculpting, texturing and 2D animation. Work included will be from my Final Year Project, ‘Synthetic Skin’, and past projects from university.

Computer Character Animation
Biography
I’m a concept artist on the Computer Character Animation course at Teesside University. My work focuses mainly on character design and illustrative concept pieces for the projects I have worked on. As well as 2D concept art, I do have experience in 3D modelling/sculpting, texturing and 2D animation also. In my time at Teesside University, I have worked as a concept artist and 2D animator on two student films, ‘Cirque de Chaleur’ and ‘Sleep Paralysis’. Through my time at university, despite originally studying here to become an animator, I have found that concept art is the career path I want to take and I am excited to get a foot in the industry.

Photoshop, Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Procreate, Paint Tool SAI Ver.2, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Toon Boom Harmony.
Employment, Work Experience & Volunteering
I have worked on two student films, providing concept art for both films, ‘Cirque de Chaleur’ and ‘Sleep Paralysis’. In both films, I had first-hand experience of as a concept artist working on animated films. I have gained valuable skills of team work, communication within a team and time management.
Cirque de Chaleur
My job roles included: character design for the mime; poster design for the stage and the walls of the film’s environment; 3D asset design and modelling – audience chairs and unused popcorn machine; texturing of the audience chairs; illustrative concept art.
Sleep Paralysis
My job roles included: in depth concept designs of main character; final design of main character; 2D animated two scenes; illustrative concept art.
Interests
Besides concept art, I enjoy sketching/drawing/painting, reading, retro video games and roller skating.
