For my final year project I have created a fully CGI rendered environment based around a throne room. I took a lot of inspiration from the World of Warcraft series and merged it with the real world to create something more realistic. The throne room is an environment showcase which takes you through an abandoned castle which was once ruled by an undead high elf named Sylvanas.
Creating a CGI environment was something I’ve always wanted to do, so being able to go ahead with it for my final year project was amazing. I wanted to challenge myself and show of all my skills that I have gained over the past three years at Teesside university, in doing so I have created something I am really proud of.
The next two videos are my final year project and my showreel which includes the breakdown of my final year project.
BA (Hons) Visual Effects
I am a creative, hardworking and bubbly person with a huge passion for Visual Effects. I’m currently in my 3rd year at Teesside university studying Visual Effects and coming to the end of my final year project. My interests in the field of visual effects include compositing, CGI, lighting and general 3D work. I hope to become a junior visual effects artist in the near future so I can gain professional experience and live my dream.
Software and Hardware Proficiencies
I have a wide range of experience in Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Microsoft Office package and Adobe Premier. Throughout my education I have used all these pieces of software to create and learn from.
Employment, Work Experience & Volunteering
My first job was working for my family business, BrickDoctorUK, Houghton-Le-Spring, as a brick tinter (labourer). I have worked along side my family since 2016 and throughout the years I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and skills in customer service, time management, productivity and problem solving. In addition, I have also been employed at Fausto Coffee, Roker where I was given the role of front of house. This further developed my communication, problem solving and customer service skills as I was dealing with the general public everyday.
