Project Description:
This project is my recreation of Link’s house interior from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. With the main purpose of further improving my skills within the game art pipeline as a whole, from modelling, sculpting, texturing and engine implementation. With some additional focus on material authoring and set up within engine to allow for vertex blending and utilising Unreal Engines height and tessellation settings.

Illustrations:
I created my own illustrations for the picture frames found in Link’s house. The images in the original environment consist of shots found within the game itself and I personally liked the idea of “Link” framing his own sketches and paintings.

Course: – BA (hons) Computer Games Art
Biography: – I’m a 3D generalist with a love of illustration and concepting on the side. I’m keen to jump into any art role I can; exploring and learning as much as possible from any technique or art style. I have an excellent understanding of art fundamentals (composition, lighting, colour theory etc.) and have a strong knowledge of high to low modelling and PBR material workflows.
Software and Hardware Proficiencies: – I have an excellent working knowledge of Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Procreate and Unreal Engine 4. I have good working knowledge of Substance Designer and Photoshop. And working knowledge of Agisoft Metashape and Substance Alchemist. I work primarily on PC but have experience with working on Apple Macs; and use a Wacom Intuos tablet for sculpting, texturing and any work created within Photoshop. I also use an iPad Pro and Procreate for most of my illustrative work.
Employment, Work Experience & Volunteering: – I have volunteered as a play tester for both Double Eleven and CCP on two separate occasions. And I have experience with freelance commission based illustration and traditional painting work.
Interests: – In my spare time I love sketching and creating random illustrations and art for loved ones and friends. I collect and assemble Lego when I can. I enjoy cycling along and exploring the gravel tracks and old railway lines around the North East, UK. And occasionally, skateboarding… more precisely, falling off my skateboard.
