ABOUT ME
Course
MA Concept Art, Graduating 2021.
Biography
I have always had a passion for the Arts and I have continued to follow that throughout my work and education career. Within Concept Art, my main interests are in creature and character design. With a background in Fine Art, I have challenged myself throughout my Masters Degree to apply my existing knowledge to digital art skills.
I have a good understanding of compositions, proportions and colour, with a strong foundation in traditional mediums and a keen interest in oil painting and watercolours.
Software & Hardware Proficiencies
My main strengths are in Procreate and Photoshop. I also have some knowledge in using Blender and Unreal Engine, building basic block-outs.
Employment, Work Experience & Volunteering
I previously studied at CCAD to gain my BA (Hons) in Fine Art, I then went on to Sunderland University to complete a PGCE (PCET) which led me to my previous job, Lecturer in Art.
My undergraduate qualification included studying a range of historical and contemporary Artists and movements as well as developing my own practice as an artist. During these 3 years, as a group, we displayed our work at different galleries. To create these shows, I took on different roles for each such as, organising and ordering brochures, curating and fundraising.
During my time as a lecturer, my main responsibilities were ensuring learners were engaging with art and design, planning and delivering effective lessons, ensuring assessments were carried out regularly and on time and working with a team to develop Visual Studies sessions.
Interests.
Alongside Art, I enjoy gaming, both video games and table-top, caring for my array of plants, both indoor and outdoors, and looking after my Leopard Gecko called Yoshi.
